Support Maria Marrero Rodriguez's Final Journey

Allow me to tell you about our mother, grandmother (Abuela), great-grandmother, and so much more...

Maria Marrero Rodriguez was born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, over 76 years ago. She moved to New York City, where she met and married the love of her life. They had 3 kids together: Maria Salazar, Jose Salazar, and Sylvia Salazar. Unfortunately, she became a single mother and raised us to the best of her ability. She is and will always be a great mom. She celebrated every birthday and holiday with us.

Four years ago, she was diagnosed with dementia. Also, she had diabetes for practically most of her life. Amongst all of that, her leg was amputated 2 years ago.

Therefore, we had to place her in a rehab facility called Valley View in Madison, AL, due to her necessity for 24-hour care.

For the past year, her health has been declining and her dementia has taken over. She does not recognize anyone in the family anymore. This is a difficult time for us right now.

For the past few weeks, she has been under care with hospice and is still fighting!! However, we know she is TIRED!

Any funds donated will go towards medical/hospice costs, memorial services, cremation/funeral, etc.
