Support Marianne's Recovery from Tragic Loss

My name is Eric Hartmann and it is with a very heavy heart that I start this fundraiser. On the morning of September 5, 2024, our neighbor’s house caught fire. My son and I were about to go to the bus stop when we noticed a smell and sight of smoke in the air. I noticed smoke coming from a house and immediately ran over calling 911, leaving our son and dog with another neighbor. I banged on the doors to try and see if anyone was home but didn’t hear anyone. Her dog, Max, was in the house and I tried to get to him but the smoke was too heavy for me to enter the house and tragically, he didn’t survive. Marianne lost her husband in 2019 and Max was her life. To lose your trusted companion is something that I cannot imagine, especially under these circumstances. The house was also condemned due to the size of the fire and since she runs her business, Cupa Cabana, out of the house, both her personal and business lives have been turned upside down. We’re looking to raise funds to help Marianne get back on her feet as she will need a lot of support in this incredibly difficult time.
