Support Maria's Grandma's Urgent Medical Needs

Hi all,
My name is Maria Perna, and as many of you may know, my Grandma is my entire world and is who raised me most of my life alongside my father after my mom passed away. She is my only family other than my father, and I have been taking care of all of her needs in Mexico, whether it is food, clothing, caretakers, bills, etc., due to her not receiving any funds other than $3000 pesos a month from the government.
My grandma, who is 90 years old, was still cognizant of who I was, was still able to walk, shower, and do many things independently. She recently became sick with a lung infection and on October 19th, 12:30 AM, she fell and fractured her femur when walking to the bathroom. Her caretaker called the ambulance, and it took them 1 hour to arrive at the house and later took another 30 minutes to arrive at the General Hospital of Cancun.
The general hospital is in horrifying unspeakable conditions that I cannot even begin to explain, and she was there for a total of 5 days with no medical attention (only Tylenol was given to her for 5 days with a fractured femur). They did not allow anyone to bring anything inside (no cellphones, no keys, no money, no wallet, no drinks, no shorts, or open-toed shoes allowed). We had to fight to allow one person inside the hospital to see her and would have to sneak in a cellphone so someone could be in contact with me to let me know her condition until I arrived to Mexico. There were no visitors allowed, and if they did, it was 8 AM-9 AM or 4 PM-5 PM, which did not account for the 40 person line of other people trying to go inside to visit their ill family members. When I arrived in Mexico and saw these conditions and the condition my grandmother was in (which I do not want to go into further detail), I was in complete shock and traumatized. I begged to get her out and called for an "acta voluntaria." I had taken all of my possible funds with some help from my dad to call an ambulance and bring her to a private hospital. Over the course of this, my grandmother developed pneumonia, high fever, delirium, stopped eating and drinking, developed lesions, etc., on top of her broken femur. In the past 24 hours, she has improved tremendously with the help of attentive nurses and doctors, and they have finally given her the pain medication and treatment she has needed at this new hospital.
I am currently in need of any possible financial assistance in this situation. The healthcare system in Mexico with no insurance is extremely unforgiving, but all I want is for my grandma to be at peace, comfortable, and to have dignity. In only 48 hours, we have spent thousands in just overnight stays and a few doctor's visits. The traumatologist has stated that there is no other option for her than to do surgery on her fractured femur that has been left untreated for over a week now, and although it is a risk, we want to make sure she is not deteriorating in a hospital bed. The goal is our hope to help cover even a few more nights in this hospital and to cover future medical bill costs that will support my grandma and me financially. I truly would give my life for my grandmother, and it pains me to be in such a position. This assistance would mean the world to me, my dad, and her students. I continue to be by her side, feeding her, speaking to her, and making sure she knows I am in her presence day in and day out. I have taken a leave of absence from my job in NYC and am left in a very difficult position financially here in Mexico.
Any and all help, thoughts, prayers, and love are needed right now.
Thank you for reading.
Maria
