Please help support Mark Cunningham's Road to Recovery

My name is Kristin Wickham (Cunningham), my father, James Mark Cunningham was in a life threatening accident on November 6th, 2024 around 6:30pm in Rapid City, South Dakota. Reported by the local news, he was driving westbound when a another vehicle was going eastbound, got into his lane and hit him head on with a combined speed of 150. His vehicle rolled a couple times and he was trapped in his truck. His truck was totaled and he sustained serious life threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital. He had to have two major surgeries one for his back which almost left him paralyzed and the other for his right leg, ankle, and foot which was completely shattered in the accident as you can see in the cover photo. He is currently dealing with heart issues which is causing his blood pressure to drop. Unfortunately, due to this accident my dad will never be able to walk normal again and it has been a horribly traumatic experience.

I love my dad very much and he means the world to me. He is an amazing grandfather, father, son, brother, friend etc. He is very lucky to be alive, as most do not survive this type of crash and I thank God everyday I did not lose my best friend.

Unfortunately, his insurance is not going to cover his recovery. We would really appreciate it if you would take the time to donate, so he doesn't have to worry and can get through his recovery.

I would also like to personally thank the Rapid City Police, Fire Department, First Responders, Monument Health ICU, those that went to Monument Health Rapid Hospital and donated parts of their foot to make his whole again. If you were not named and helped him, thank you truly it means more than you will ever imagine. This has touched our hearts and we are so thankful for the kindness these individuals showed to someone they have never met before.
