Support Mark Lawrence's Medical Journey

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind-hearted Strangers,

My Uncle Mark Lawrence has been dealing with medical issues for the last 6 years. It began with what he was told were prostate issues that were treated for about 3 years before he requested to see a specialist. After about 3 years, he found out that it was scar tissue that had built up from a catheter from when he was in a wreck when he was 14. After many years, it closed off and backed up urine into his kidney and possibly caused the cancer that he is dealing with now.

For over a year now (Feb. '23), he has had to go to Amarillo and Dallas for doctor appointments, chemo treatment, and about 6 surgeries. He is such a tough man that he has missed very little work due to feeling ill but he has exhausted his time off at work with the chemo treatments, surgeries and follow-up appointments. He just finished 8 rounds of chemo, and that alone was 16 trips back and forth to Amarillo, that is not counting the trips from Logan to Dallas and the overnight stays.

He will be having surgery on July 14th to remove his kidney and will be off of work for at least 6 weeks. This will take place in Dallas as well.

We are asking for your support to help cover the costs of travel, gas, food and the time that he has to spend away from work while the daily life still keeps adding up. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a significant difference and bring Uncle Mark one step closer to recovery.
