Support Mark Clarkson’s Memorial and Family's Future

Under any normal circumstance, this would not even be a topic. On Saturday afternoon, 9/7/24 mark took the tragic and unexpected red/unanticipated step to end his suffering with his demons, on 9/9/24, my husband Mark passed away from this actions. This has been a devastating blow to myself, our 5 children, and our family.

Mark does not have any life insurance, or any insurance at all, so naturally bills will accrue as well as the normal day-to-day, month-to-month bills. During his stay at UC Medical Center Mark racked up nearly 50k in hospital bills to try to save his life. We have 5 expensive children that have left little room for saving, even without this tragedy.

Everyone that knew my husband knew he was a beaming light. He was charming, charismatic, funny, and incredibly intelligent, but they also knew he had his demons. Those demons ultimately decided his fate; however, we refuse to let those demons define who Mark was as a person. Mark did his honor walk on 9/11/24, where he will be saving 8 people with his organs and upwards of 70 with tissue. Mark will be remembered as a hero.

However, although he lives on as a hero in our hearts and minds, this was incredibly unexpected. I, myself, do not have the funds to give him the proper memorial/funeral he needs. Any additional money raised will be put into accounts for the children so they can try to resume a new normal without dad/stepdad. As well as going towards the medical bills. This is just a lot on my plate, and any help, like, share, donation, anything would be so beyond appreciated.

I'm currently in the process of attempting calls to get this process at least started, but thus far every quote I've been given is far beyond my ability.
