Support Mary's Battle with Neuroendocrine Cancer
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Olivia. I am Mary’s daughter. Many of you may know my mom from Dr. Rahman’s office; she’s been a nurse at Morris Hospital for 15 years, previously working under Dr. Hart. My mom lived to see all the kids at her job. Since she doesn’t have the energy to work anymore, she has slowly been losing herself.
Yaya (as her grandkids call her) loved to be able to play with them, but now she doesn’t have the energy. I’m sure many of you in the neighborhood used to see her constantly walking with Mabel, but now that has been passed onto me.
My mom was diagnosed with Neuroendocrine Cancer two years ago. She was originally on chemo, but it stopped working, so now she has to do radiation. Each infusion costs $75,000 before insurance (around $6,000 after) and the bills from the last two years are piling up.
Anything that can be donated would help tremendously. Being in the position that I am, it kills me not to be able to afford to help my parents more.
