Support Mason's Fight for a New Heart

Donation protected
Last ever update 3/15/25:
Unfortunately on Friday 3/14/25 Mason was denied the transplant that he needed more than ever. He was denied due to having a stroke earlier in the week, he just was not strong enough. He fought harder than I’ve ever seen anyone fight in my life. He will forever be my super hero. His gentle soul was set free tonight 3/15/25 at 8:15 pm. If you were lucky enough to know my brother, you know that he had to hit them with an uno reverse.. he decided last minute that he wanted to be an organ donor himself. Tonight he lost his life but was able to give 3 other people a new chance at life. Any further donations will now go towards services. My family and I thank every single one of you for your prayers, positivity and support during his fight.

UPDATE 2/20/25: I have a really great update for everyone! While Mason is still not on the list for the transplant, he is SO CLOSE. The doctor that they want to perform the surgery is currently out of the country but will be back on Monday so everyone cross your fingers and toes!! Mason asked me personally to update everyone. He wants everyone to know that at this point in time he is alert, alive and he is FIGHTING. Mason could not believe the outpour of love everyone has shown and the amount of people rooting for him. Very soon, we should have some really really great updates for you. Lastly, to any organ donors.. your selfless act of kindness in this world even after you have left is nothing short of beautiful and the best gift you could ever give. Someone, some day will be more grateful than you could ever imagine!

Another update 1/24/25: Still not the most amazing update, but one I am so grateful to have received. Mason was successfully taken off of the ECMO machine!! If you guys are familiar with this, you know how much of an amazing step in the right direction this is! He is slowly becoming more alert but won’t be answering any calls or messages for a while. The doctors say he still has a very, very long road ahead of him, and he will still be in NYC for a very long time, but that guy is making progress!! Keep the prayers coming, they’re definitely making it to the big man upstairs ♥️

Update 1/21/25:
Hello! I wish I had a better update for everyone who has been so beyond generous to our family during this terrifying and trying time. Mason is VERY SLOWLY headed in the right direction. Unfortunately until his liver function improves more and he is able to become responsive from the sedation that has recently ended, we are at a stand still. Keep the amazing amount of prayers and good vibes coming! We need that liver to start liver-ing!! I will update everyone as much as I possibly can. The power of prayer is so strong, I hope I have an even better update for you guys soon!

If you’re here reading this, thank you! As you all may know, my family is not the kind to generally ask for financial help, but we had an unexpected emergency recently. If you’re lucky enough to know my brother Mason, you know he is an absolutely amazing human who wasn’t dealt the best cards when it comes to his health. We have recently found out that he was in the end stages of congestive heart failure. The normal heart has an ejection fraction of 50-70%. His was coming back at about 16%. We knew we had a long journey ahead, but we were so very hopeful and in the process of getting him on a heart transplant list. Unfortunately, before we were able to complete those steps, he took a turn for the worse. He went into cardiac arrest and was put on an ECMO machine (life support). By the grace of God, they were able to keep him here with us. Upstate Hospital, as amazing as they were, informed us that they were out of options for him and the most they could do was keep him stable. He needed medical attention immediately from a more advanced hospital. He was taken by Mercy Flight to Columbia Hospital this morning where they are now going to give it their all, and hopefully can get him at least healthy enough to still be a great candidate for the transplant he so desperately needs.

With that being said… my parents immediately jumped on the next train down to him. Both of them leaving behind jobs and houses to make sure they are by my brother's side every step of the way. The financial burden is going to be so heavy on them. Finding hotels in NYC close to the hospital, transportation, and food are only a fraction of the obstacles they are going to face in the next few months. Anything to take some of the stress away helps so tremendously. Even if you’ve read all of this but can’t help financially, please send all of the positivity and good vibes our way. We’re praying for a miracle over here!
