Help Support Massimo and His Family
On January 14th, our family’s world turned upside down. My nephew, Massimo, was rushed to the ER with what doctors initially thought was pneumonia and an enlarged heart. But further scans revealed something far more serious—a large mass in his chest.
Early on January 15th, Massimo was airlifted out in critical condition to UCSF in San Francisco. He spent several days unconscious in the ICU fighting for his life.
Massimo has since been diagnosed with lymphoma. He immediately started chemotherapy and has shown so much strength and remains his positive self.
Over the next 7-8 months, he will need weekly treatments, and his doctors have advised my sister and her family stay close to UCSF in San Francisco for his care.
As you can imagine, this journey comes with immense emotional and financial challenges. Between the airlift flight, mounting medical bills, travel expenses, food, lodging for the next 8 months, and lost income, my sister’s family is in need of support. Your generosity will help alleviate the financial burden, so they can focus on Massimo’s fight against lymphoma.
Anything you can contribute will make a difference. If you’re unable to help financially, please consider donating blood in Massimo’s honor. Blood transfusions will be a vital part of his care, and it’s because of generous donors like you that these lifesaving resources are available.
Thank you for keeping Massimo and our family in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time. Your kindness and support mean more than we can express.
