Support Firefighter’s Fight for Recovery
Donation protected
On September 19th, Matthew Nichols, a dedicated firefighter and new father, was critically injured while serving his community. The Orange County Fire Hand Crew was driving back to base camp from the Airport Fire when their vehicle overturned.
He is currently in a coma, fighting for his life, while his wife, Carissa, stands by his side every day, navigating a reality no one could have prepared for.
Matthew and Carissa have a 6-month-old son, Theodore, who brings light into their lives even during this incredibly dark time. As Carissa spends her days in the hospital, she is facing overwhelming emotional and financial challenges, balancing the care of her baby with the uncertainty of Matthew’s condition.
Matthew has always been a protector, both for his family and his community. Now, it’s our turn to support him and his loved ones. We are asking for donations to help ease the financial burden on Carissa so she can focus on what matters most—being there for Matthew and Theodore during this time of profound difficulty.
Your generosity will help cover child care and other urgent needs as the Nichols family faces an uncertain future. Please keep them in your prayers and consider donating to help ease their burden during this heartbreaking journey. Any amount will make a difference. Thank you for standing with Matthew, Carissa, and baby Theodore in their time of need.
