Help the Dean family though this difficult time

UPDATE:

10/27 our dad passed away peacefully at 7:15am listening to his favorite blues bands with his closest family at bedside. He’s now jamming in heaven.

We have a lot to get through we’re all just at the beginning, any support would be helpful.

Hi everyone, we are the son and daughter of Matthew Dean. We are asking for support for our father’s care, medical bills and living expenses during this tough time and what’s to follow these next few days, weeks and months.

These past few days have been very challenging. Our dad was admitted to the hospital 10/23 with a bowel perforation. Following an extensive abdominal surgery, his heart began to fail. He was quickly connected to a ventilator to support his breathing, then a device was inserted into his heart to help push blood flow to his vital organs and take stress off his heart to aid in healing.

His kidneys started to fail, which then required another therapy to begin called CRRT, which ultimately acted as an artificial kidney filtering toxins and blood, as well as removing extra fluid outside of his body.

He remains very critical.
