Escape the Night: Help Us Bring Our Vision to Life!
We are thrilled to introduce "Escape the Night," a gripping independent short film that explores the complex dynamics of prey and predator through the unexpected encounter of two strangers in a car. Created by Matthew Kiesling and Matthew Canada, this 5-6 minute film delves into themes of gender dynamics, violence, and societal assumptions—issues that resonate deeply in our current landscape.
Our goal is not just to tell a compelling story; we aim to enter film festivals and provide vital career opportunities for all the talented artists involved. With a crew of dedicated professionals, including seasoned theater director Matthew Kiesling—who holds a BFA in Drama from NYU Tisch—and the sophisticated cinematography of Matthew Canada, we are poised to create a visually stunning and emotionally impactful film.
Filming will take place in the serene yet haunting landscapes of rural Pennsylvania, providing the perfect backdrop for our narrative. Over the course of two intense days, we will shoot with a small crew, focusing on character-driven storytelling enhanced by makeup effects that elevate the tension of our tale.
To make this vision a reality, we need your support. Your contributions will help cover essential costs such as equipment, location fees, and post-production, ensuring that "Escape the Night" not only captivates audiences but also showcases the incredible talents of emerging artists.
Join us on this journey to craft a film that challenges perceptions and opens doors for future creative endeavors. With your help, we can bring our story to life and share it with the world.
Thank you for considering our project—let’s escape the night together!
