Support Matthew's Run for Cancer Research

On Saturday November 9th, I am running in the Springfield Marathon to raise money for the American Cancer Society (ACS). ACS has helped make possible almost every major cancer breakthrough since 1946. Since then, ACS has invested more than $5 billion in cancer research, making it the largest nonprofit funder of cancer research in the United States, outside of the federal government. ACS remains committed to finding more – and better – ways to improve the quality of life for cancer patients.

Supporting ACS is especially important to me. My mother-in-law has had a tough fight with cancer over the last year. She has been on multiple forms of chemotherapy and is yet to be cancer-free.
