Support Matthew’s Fight Against Acute Leukemia

Donation protected
Matthew has a family of six with his wife Sara and four children ages 3–11. He is a US Army veteran, who deployed twice to Iraq.

On Saturday, September 21st, 2024 Matthew went to the emergency room and ended up being diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. He started induction chemotherapy that afternoon and has been receiving intense medical treatment for the last four months. He is currently undergoing his fourth round of consolidation chemotherapy.

Matthew needs a bone marrow/stem cell transplant. This transplant will involve in patient treatments as well as about five months of intensive outpatient treatments, monitoring, and observation.

For about six months Matt will be living three hours away from Sara and his kids so that he is able to receive his medical treatments. Sara will need to juggle working, taking care of the kids with meals and daily routines, and the stress of everyone missing Matt.

Matthew has current medical bills, will have future medical bills, and the potential need to take unpaid FMLA in the future.

Please consider donating to help the family during this stressful time. I know Matt and Sara would appreciate any help possible, and those of us who love Matt, Sara, and the kids would appreciate knowing that they have one less thing to worry about during this difficult time.
