Support Matt's Journey to Stability

My name is Matt. I had spent over 10 years of my life as a judicial officer. I worked permanent midnights with no paid leave in this role for seven years. My life eventually fell apart due to mental health issues. I am trying to get back on my feet in a new environment in Frederick, because staying around Charles County triggered major PTSD attacks. Today, I am trying to raise money for my rent and to travel for my specialized mental health care after unexpected expenses.

I have contacted local churches here in the Frederick area regarding assistance for my rent. These churches require matching funds to assist me, dollar for dollar. In addition, within the next month, I will need to make two 125-mile round trips for neurological testing to figure out what is wrong with my cognitive functioning, which decreased after my appointment as a judicial officer ended. While I am working now, I still fell behind financially.
