Support Mckenzie Spahr's Family After Tragedy

Donation protected
This note is being sent with a deep expression of gratitude. I don’t want to contemplate where we would be without your thoughts, prayers, love and support. Although still numb, I think we have weathered the brunt of the storm over the last few days. As the proverbial storm surge and flood waters slowly begin to recede, we are beginning to see a clearer picture of what we need to help support Kenzie, Ellie and Ryder James.
After a few difficult years, my daughter finally found true happiness and was engaged to Nate James Riley. He was a friend, son, brother to me, but to Kenzie and Ellie…. He was the strong, loving, supportive light that lifted my girls to their highest versions of themselves. They were pregnant back in the fall, but unfortunately lost the baby. After a few months they were given another opportunity to bring life into this world. Kenzie is now 15 weeks pregnant with baby Ryder James. Nate being the incredible human he was stepped boldly into this relationship knowing that Kenzie and Ellie are a package deal. He fulfilled the father figure role better than I could have imagined. It was clear he loved those girls more than life itself. And was ecstatic about growing the happy family.
When I broke the tragic news to my dear sister, Emily, she enlightened me with a beautiful silver lining. She is convinced that the Lord took Nate to heaven to take care of the baby they lost in the fall. Yesterday, Kenzie let me know that Nate’s untimely passing happened on the exact due date of that child. We struggle to make sense of it all.
Since they were not officially married, there are complications with Nate’s assets. After speaking with the attorney, it is our understanding that his finances and settlements will be locked up in a trust until Ryder’s 18th birthday. This does not help with Kenzie’s stress level especially while nurturing a baby in the short term. One of Kenzie’s friends has set up a go fund me site to ensure that she will be okay with month-to-month obligations. I am sending the link to help Kenzie in this tragic time of need.
If you can help, I encourage you to do so. Please feel free to share this link with anyone you know that might also want to help.
Thank you for your love and support,
PriceWe are creating this GoFundMe to help Mckenzie Spahr who lost one of the most important people in her life, Nate Riley, due to a very tragic event. We would like to help her start a savings fund for herself, her daughter Ellie, and Nate's and Mckenzie's soon-to-be son, Ryder. Any donations will help. Please think of her, her family, and Nate's family during this hard time for all.
