Support M&D Playhouse!

Hi! My name is Mackenzie Hester and I’m competing in the Mountain Washington Valley Miss Pageant to raise funds for M&D Playhouse. This pageant is not a beauty contest, rather a fun way to raise money for local non profits.

M&D Playhouse is a year-round community theatre in the heart of the Mt. Washington Valley at the historic Eastern Slope Inn Playhouse. The mission of M&D is to celebrate and enhance personal understanding through the shared experience of theatre. They typically produce nine shows a year, ranging from new plays to classic musicals. This year, M&D will put on a “Broadway at the Playhouse” summer camp, an educational theatre experience for children aged 8-15. M&D has created two initiatives in the effort to make theatre more accessible for the community. Final dress rehearsals are open to view via suggested donation. They also offer Giving Tickets at low-to-no cost, for any show, at any time.

M&D Playhouse has been an integral part of my journey to feeling at home in the Valley. It has continually offered me community, a creative outlet, and pushed me to grow as a theatre artist. Please help me support this non-profit theatre so we can keep the arts vibrant in the Mount Washington Valley!
