I am Farah Al-Sarraj, and my husband is Mohammad Makki

I am 26years old, and my husband is 34.

We have been married for three years and have not been blessed with children yet.

Since October 7th, we have been suffering from war, loss, hunger, pollution, and disease.

Our life before October 7th:

I was about to sign a work contract, and my husband worked as a supervisor in one of the largest companies in Gaza. We had many friends, hopes, and dreams, like any couple in the world. We were planning to have a child and had started building a new home.

But since October 7th, our lives have been completely destroyed.

We were forced to leave our home, taking nothing but a piece of clothing and some important documents. We were displaced from the north to the south and endured displacement and unimaginable suffering. We have been forcibly displaced more than five times initially, we stayed in a metal container for six months with 30 other people, and then we moved to a fragile tent This tent provides no protection; cold air seeps in during winter, and the scorching sun penetrates it in summer.

My family was scattered; some remained in the north, others were displaced to the south, and communication between us was cut off. On November 16th, my brother Alaa Al-Sarraj

was detained while crossing what was called a "safe corridor," and he remains imprisoned to this day. Alaa has five children: *Maria, Mariam, Salma, Adham, and Mohammad*

. I take care of them and handle all their needs, but the requirements are overwhelming. There is no milk for the children, no diapers, and even the most basic necessities are nearly impossible to secure.

Life here is unbearably difficult:

- We have been cooking over firewood for months; there is no gas or any other cooking source.

- We bathe once a week using water heated over firewood

- We wash our clothes by hand due to the lack of washing machines or sufficient water.

- There is no electricity at all we live in total darkness at night.

- We have been sleeping on the ground for months without proper bedding or blankets.

- We have not had chicken or meat since October 7th and survive on small amounts of poor-quality food.

- We suffer from severe pollution and malnutrition, which has caused multiple illnesses.

- I contracted hepatitis due to the unsanitary conditions and lack of hygiene.

- Everyone here, especially the children, suffers from skin diseases due to poor hygiene, prolonged sun exposure, and dust.

- Basic hygiene supplies like soap, shampoo, and cleaning materials are unavailable.

- The prices of vegetables and fruits are excessively high, and securing daily food has become nearly impossible.

We have been enduring these conditions for over 14 months. And no source of income

We lack even the most basic necessities for a dignified life. Hunger, disease, and deprivation have become our daily reality.

We desperately need your help.

عمري 25 عامًا، وزوجي 33 عامًا. نحن متزوجان منذ ثلاث سنوات، ولم نرزق بطفل بعد. منذ السابع من أكتوبر، ونحن نعاني من الحرب، الفقد، الجوع، التلوث، والأمراض.

**حياتنا السابقة باختصار:**

كنت على وشك توقيع عقد عمل، وكان زوجي يعمل مشرفًا في إحدى أكبر الشركات في غزة. كان لدينا العديد من الأصدقاء والأماني والأحلام مثل أي زوجين في العالم. كنا نخطط لإنجاب طفل وبدأنا ببناء منزل جديد.

**ولكن منذ السابع من أكتوبر، دُمّرت حياتنا بالكامل.**

طُلب منا مغادرة منزلنا، ولم نتمكن من أخذ أي شيء معنا سوى قطعة من الملابس وبعض الوثائق الهامة. نزحنا من الشمال إلى الجنوب، وتعرضنا للتشرد والمعاناة. نزحنا أكثر من خمس مرات؛ في البداية أقمنا في حاوية معدنية لمدة 6 أشهر مع 30 شخصًا آخرين، ثم انتقلنا إلى خيمة رديئة . هذه الخيمة لا توفر أي حماية، فالهواء البارد يتسلل إلينا شتاءً، والشمس الحارقة تخترقها صيفًا.

تفرقت عائلتي؛ البعض بقي في الشمال، والبعض نزح إلى الجنوب، وانقطعت الاتصالات بيننا. في 16 نوفمبر، أُسر أخي علاء السراج أثناء عبوره ما يُسمى "الممر الآمن"، وما زال أسيرًا حتى الآن. علاء لديه خمسة أطفال: ماريا، مريم، سلمى، أدهم، ومحمد. أنا أعتني بهم وأهتم بكل احتياجاتهم، لكن المتطلبات كثيرة وصعبة. لا حليب للأطفال، ولا حفاضات (بامبرز)، حتى أبسط الأساسيات أصبحت شبه مستحيلة.

الحياة هنا قاسية للغاية

نطبخ على الحطب منذ أشهر؛ لا يوجد غاز ولا أي مصدر آخر للطهي .

- نستحم مرة واحدة في الأسبوع باستخدام ماء مسخن على الحطب.

نغسل ملابسنا بأيدينا لعدم توفر الغسالات أو المياه الكافية.

- لا توجد كهرباء نهائيًا؛ نعيش في ظلام دامس ليلاً.

-ننام على الأرض منذ أشهر دون أغطية أو فراش مريح

- لم نتناول الدجاج أو اللحوم منذ السابع من أكتوبر، ونعيش على كميات محدودة من الطعام الرديء.

- نعاني من التلوث الشديد وسوء التغذية، مما تسبب في إصابتنا بأمراض عديدة.

- أصبت بـالكبد الوبائي بسبب التلوث وانعدام النظافة.

- الجميع هنا، وخاصة الأطفال، يعانون من أمراض جلدية بسبب نقص المياه النظيفة والتعرض للشمس والغبار.

-*المواد الأساسية مثل الصابون والشامبو ومواد التنظيف غير متوفرة.

- أسعار الخضار والفواكه باهظة الثمن، وتأمين الطعام اليومي أصبح معجزة.

نحن نعيش هذا الوضع منذ أكثر من 14 شهرا

نفتقر إلى أدنى مقومات الحياة الكريمة، نواجه الجوع، المرض، والحرمان يوميًا.
