Support me volunteering in Thailand and going to Japan

Hi I’m Kiertan, an adventurous- and I'm told only slightly humorous - medical student based in London. Over the last few years, I have felt a strong calling to go oversees to East Asia - specifically Japan.

This year, the organisation "OMF" are hosting a conference in Thailand, and need volunteers to help run and support activities for the children there. My church- The Globe Church (based in London) - are organising a team to go and help. That's where you come in!

The plan is to be in Thailand from the 8th-22nd of June 2024, followed by a week long trip in Japan.

I will be volunteering with the Children's work, followed by a week Long "vision trip" to Japan. It is my goal next year to go to Japan for a few months for a mission trip - in hopes of sharing the Gospel- the good news about Jesus Christ that has changed my life. Whilst in East Asia, I plan to go to Japan this year for a week to better understand the culture before hopefully going there for a longer time period in 2025.

(I have also been learning some Japanese recently, so it would be exciting to practise this!)

Put simply - The overall purpose of this trip is twofold-

1. firstly (and mainly) to serve by doing some voluntary work where there is a need.

2. To understand more about Japanese culture, in the hopes of a longer trip in the near future doing missionary work.

I am raising support to help fund this trip opportunity. Specifically, I am asking for financial support to help fund the travel costs, as well as some accomadation fees to and from these countries.

I would appreciate any support you can offer, and would suggest that if you're a Christian, you pray and think about how much you're able to give :)
