Support Megan's Fight Against MALS

Where do I begin when trying to explain just how much the Russells mean to the community of Oro Valley and beyond. From Janey and her “Shine On” positivity to her two beautiful and talented daughters Megan and Annie, the Russells, and all their family are just an amazing people that have given so much of themselves to help and lift others.

As many of you know, Megan was recently diagnosed with MALS (Median Arcuate Ligament Syndrome). It is a serious medical condition where a ligament in the lower chest compresses an artery to the stomach and liver causing many issues, but mainly Megan’s ability to eat or drink, causing a host of nutritional problems. The amount of time and money invested in Megan’s health has been staggering. It has meant countless hours in doctor’s offices, hospital visits, trips to Phoenix and Florida for the Mayo Clinic, and visits to specialists. Not to mention extensive medical procedures and surgeries, all to give Megan the best chance at recovering and being able to live a full a happy life. Over time the medical costs have and will be overwhelming, and we are reaching out to our community for support to give Megan the best chance at a full recovery. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help cover the necessary treatments, procedures, and allow them to continue providing Megan with all the love and cares she deserves.
