The Paychex HR Services family is organizing this campaign to support our 25 year Paychex veteran Melanie Shake, the HR Services Area Manager in San Diego, CA.
John Shake, the husband of our dear colleague Melanie, has been battling cancer for just over 3 years, and is being moved to hospice care. If you are able, please join us in lending support to Melanie and her children during this very difficult time. At Paychex, we are more than just a network of colleagues, we are an organization with bonds of friendship, and care.
Melanie and John are high school sweethearts. Both born and raised in the San Diego area, they married shortly after high school, and had two children, Jacob and Kaylene. This very tight knit family loves spending time together, attending annual camping trips with their close group of friends, and love vacations at the beach. The thought of going through this at any age is difficult, but to just be starting your adult journey and managing through this is especially unbearable. Jacob is set to be married this fall, and Kaylene will turn 21 this year, both huge milestones in their young adult lives.
