Support Melissa Cooper in her long-term battle with cancer

Please help the Cooper family deal with the financial burden of Melissa’s cancer treatments.

Melissa has stage IV breast cancer, which she has been fighting since 2012. She was a much-loved middle school teacher but the cancer finally forced her to stop in 2022, and she is now on permanent disability. In addition to ongoing lifetime chemotherapy to battle metastatic lesions in bones and organs, Melissa’s cancer recently spread to her brain. She is dealing with whole-brain radiation and the many complications that have come with this treatment and the accompanying medications, leading to 3 hospital stays and diabetes this summer. Melissa’s treatments, appointments, medications and associated equipment have been costing the family many thousands of dollars each year in out-of-pocket expenses.

Melissa has been married to James for 26 years, and they have two wonderful children. Please help this beautiful family offset their loss of income and high medical expenses.
