Support Melissa Ray and Family During Unexpected Crisis

Melissa Ray has dedicated her entire life to helping others. Often times putting others health before her own. For as long as I have known her she has been stepping in for her loved ones and anyone else who is need. More than 10 years ago Melissa and her husband of 30 years, Eric, stepped in and opened their door to 4 precious angels. Shortly after 5 more littles were welcomed in. At the time the youngest was just an infant. Although these living arrangements were presumed to be temporary, Melissa just refused to allow the children to be split up. Family has always been her top priority. Over the years Melissa and Eric have worked diligently raising all 9 of the children and done an amazing job of keeping all of the children together. From Medical appointments, to therapy, and IEP meetings, Melissa has not missed a beat!

Now the children ranging from ages 10 to 17 are facing a hardship. Saturday night Melissa Ray went into cardiac arrest and had to be resuscitated. Over the past few days that she has spent in the ICU she has coded 3 additional times and remains intubated. The family has been left devastated, but hopeful. At this time the physicians are puzzled and in an effort to save Melissa they are planning to transfer her to another Hospital. At this time we are asking for financial help with a variety of daily necessities. Eric, who is the primary source of income, has had to take a leave of absence from work and is now home with the 9 children providing care and everyday needs. From cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping, and even combing the little girls hair he is tirelessly working day in and day out while also trying to cope with this tragic event. At this time, we do not have a prognosis, but we remain faithful. Any help is greatly appreciated. Please share Melissa’s story!
