Help Melissa's Battle with Metastatic Cancer

Hi! My name is Melissa. I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer on 8/4/2024. It came back in my spine. The tumor is located in my L1 vertebra. Getting around is a hit or miss for me.
I am out of work. I am writing this requesting some help to pay for some of my living and medical expenses. I was first diagnosed with breast cancer back in 2017. I was in remission for seven years and now in August 2024, the cancer has come back and it’s in my bones and it’s located in my spine and my L1 vertebrae so that is in my lower back. I first went on short-term disability through my work that was only for 12 weeks and they made it sound like I’ll be able to roll right into long-term disability. Well that wasn’t the case. I was denied long-term disability because I had cancer prior and that’s seen as a pre-existing condition.? Since December 5, I have been without an income. When I did have an income from September to December, it was only 50% of what I made. I had some money in savings, but I spent that on paying my bills to my doctors and for imaging, blood tests, prescriptions and to survive. I’m at the point that I’m at my wits end. I haven’t been able to pay rent. I’m at the brink of going homeless. I’m doing everything that I can scraping to survive. This illness is breaking me. I don’t know what to do. I hate asking for help. I hate asking for money.
It's really hard for me to ask for help. I thank you in advance for reading this, and if there is anything you can do, it would be appreciated.
