Support Melissa's Midwifery Dream

Hi, my name is Melissa, and I am asking for your support as I pursue my calling as a midwife. Ten years ago, I discovered my passion for supporting women through birthwork after becoming a mother myself. Birth is a unique moment of vulnerability, power, and love. My goal is to walk with women from prenatal to postpartum while meeting their medical, emotional, and practical needs so they can peacefully focus on the joy of new life.

After ten years of serving as a birth doula, I am pursuing a degree in midwifery so I can provide even more services to expecting mothers in Kentucky. This is an expensive and intensive process. My husband and I have reorganized everything including daily schedules, employment, and even housing because of our determination to serve families through my gifts and calling. Along with blessing my own clients, I also envision raising up future midwives in Louisville and the surrounding area, which would significantly improve birth outcomes as well as making our state safer for moms and babies.

Now, I am asking for your help to make this vision a reality, because starting out is expensive! I would be so grateful to you all for any contribution that helps me in serving other women.
