Support Melissa's Recovery After Amputation

My name is Jeremy. My girlfriend, Melissa, and I have been together for almost 2 years. She is a type 2 diabetic. We did not know the severity of being diabetic until her right foot and leg got infected with gangrene. She is currently in the hospital; she had to have her right leg amputated below the knee. She does not have any health insurance at this time.

We are in need of help with some medical equipment and expenses for medical bills and items such as a wheelchair, bath chair, and other items she may need to help her become independent. She had to suddenly lose her job due to this nature, leaving all bills to fall back on me that we were paying together. My income is not enough to cover all that we have between car payments, rent, utilities, and now medical bills all added to the total household income. I'm currently the only one working full-time and will be missing a lot of work to take her to doctor's appointments and therapy appointments for quite some time as she recovers.

We are taking all steps we can to try and get her on insurance and disability at this time to help with expenses for medical bills from here on out and medication she will need.$5,000 will go toward medical equipment wheelchair, crutches and other items to help her get around. $25,000 will go towards her medication and up coming doctor appointments and therapy visits. $20,000 will go directly to the hospital to cover some of the medical bills Thank you so much for taking the time to read this message; it will mean the world to us as we get through this tough time.
