Support Melody's Mission

Hi, my name is Melody. I am in need of support in helping to take my company to the next level. I am a single mother of 4 who has done everything in my power to change the trajectory of the lives of my children. From 2019 to 2022, I worked 3 jobs to save up the necessary money to start my business and to provide for my family. In 2022, I officially became a Franchisee of a nationally recognized company. I became the new owner of a thriving location in Baltimore, MD.

Unfortunately, a new company bought the building and I was forced to move my shop in 2023. I had no idea what it took to build a completely new commercial space but I was determined not to give up. A project that I thought would take a couple of months took over 1 year. Everything that could go wrong, went absolutely wrong. I loss tons of money, was denied traditional bank loans, and was also scammed out of a significant amount of money. There were several permitting issues. I even ran out of money to pay the contractor.... the list goes on and on.

I faced many dark days where I felt like giving up. I invested so much energy, time and resources into this. Above all, this is my dream and I choose to keep going until I absolutely can't any longer.

By the Grace of God and the support of family and friends I am offically OPEN FOR BUSINESS, in my new space, that I built with my blood, sweat and tears! I am pulling resources from everywhere possibe to make sure that this dream of mine is no longer deferred. I am using this platform to request support. My Mission is to have enough working capital, pay my contractor, and to have enough funds available for payroll. I will be employing approximately 7- 10 youthworkers.
