Support Mel's immigration to Canada!

My name is Melanie, I'm a trans woman from Indonesia hoping to raise money in order to stay in Canada!

I've learned a lot from the past few years living in BC, taking part in various movements for liberation and housing justice in the lower mainland. I'm a proud member of the Vancouver Tenants Union, and I hope to use my experience to continue improving the lives of tenants in the city. However, I need to be able to stay in the country to do this!

Since graduating, I've been stuck in immigration limbo, unable to work while waiting for my post-graduate work permit for over 5 months. I am requesting funds to begin my permanent residency application!

The donations will be used to cover my immigration lawyer's fees and my PR application.

Application processing fees: $950

Biometric fees: $85

Language test: $300

Right of permanent residence: $575

Total amount needed: $8 000
