Support Mental Health Awareness Campaign

Mental health issues are one of the biggest problems in today’s society and still a topic often ignored or frowned upon. We want to change this.

Who are we?

Oliver Saundry - 22, founder of mental health awareness platform Community of Real People

Oliver Abrenica - 31, founder of Isnurh - responsible fashion brand, based in Copenhagen

Adriaan Kruithof - 24, looking to use this project for the graduation of his Bachelor-degree

Goals of the project:

Create content to build awareness, destigmatize the mental health conversation, and finally bring light & comfort to the people suffering in silence.

Through a co-collaboration, we want to curate a small unisex fashion collection, made from 100% OEKO-TEX-certified cotton, with uplifting prints and graphics that bring awareness to and help normalize mental health. The size of the collection will depend on the funding received. Our goal is to produce at least 50 t-shirts, and if possible, 50 hoodies. The messaging & our designs will be based on research, interviews, surveys & guidance from mental health professionals. 100% of the earnings will go to the Danish Red Cross and support their work for people with mental health conditions.

In May 2023 for Mental Health Awareness Month, we will be hosting a pop-up community event, to physically bring people together.

Why do we do this:

As most people, we have all experienced struggling with our personal mental health before and we want to contribute to changing the stigma around the topic. It is vital for us to not only create clothing with value but especially enhance awareness throughout the communication surrounding this collection and bring the community together to celebrate each other. Giving away all earnings to a local organization supporting mental health treatment is our measurable contribution to this important matter.

What do we need:

Since this project is founded by young creatives without any financial resources, we are looking for people who are as interested as us in helping the community in innovative ways, and are willing to support this cause financially. For us, this is the opportunity to improve our research and design skills, and for you, as a supporter, there is a high chance of multiplying your donation through the sales of our products. Every donator will receive a personal invitation to the pop-up event in May to see how the final product turned out.
