Support Mental Health in Hawaii's AANHPI Community!
Tax deductible
AANHPI individuals demonstrate the lowest rate of mental health service utilization yet stress, anxiety, and depression have been rising at alarming rates, especially since the COVID-19 pandemic. These lower rates of receiving services historically have been mistaken as lower rates of need from the community - but this has been found to be quite the opposite. The issue lies in cultural barriers to care (stigma, family decision making, shame and saving face, the list goes on...) That's where AANHPI Resilience Project comes in.
AANHPI Resilience Project is a local Hawaii-based 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to eliminate barriers to mental health care for Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islanders (AANHPI) through research, education, clinical training and advocacy efforts. We are currently working on producing evidence to inform best-practices in mental health care for our community and help make services more applicable and relevant to our culture.
Your generous contribution will directly support our initiatives and programs aimed at addressing the unique mental health needs of AANHPI individuals. With your donation, we can fund groundbreaking research, advocate for systemic changes, and ultimately support the well-being of our community. Contributions will directly fund the equipment that is needed to produce valuable research, fund resources necessary to develop and test clinical practices, and go directly back to the community through community engagement efforts.
Join us in our mission to improve mental health outcomes for the AANHPI community in Hawaii - Thank you for your support!
