Support Mercy Essah's Final Journey to Ghana

Donation protected
In loving memory of, Mercy Essah who passed on July 24, 2024. Mercy will be laid to rest in her ancestral home of Ghana. To help with associated expenses, a Go Fund Me has been set up. Please consider celebrating her life by donating to offset these expenses.

Mercy was a bright light in the lives of all who knew her and her presence will be deeply missed. She was an integral part of our community at CSU at the San Luis Valley Research Center since 2003. Her dedication and expertise significantly contributed to the Colorado Potato Cultivar Management and Physiology program, where she tirelessly worked with our science teams on developing cultural management guidelines crucial for the sustainable and economic production of potato cultivars.

Despite her petite stature, Mercy's impact on our programs was immense. She was known for her sensitivity, thoughtfulness, and caring nature, making her a cherished friend to us all. Her presence will be deeply missed, and our hearts are heavy with grief.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to her husband, Samuel Essah, and their entire family in Ghana during this difficult time. Please join us in keeping them in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate through this profound loss.
