Support Merriewood Children's Center
Merriewood Children’s Center has been helping families in the Burton Valley and the Lamorinda community for over 30 years. They have been continuously providing reliable and caring childcare services for countless families in the community.
As working parents, both my husband and I couldn’t have survived our first several years without the assistance from Merriewood and its staff while raising our first daughter. Twelve years later, they still provide the same nurturing environment and attentive care for our son as they have done with our daughter.
We know many others can attest to this as well. Without their service and assistance one begins to question where the working parents in this community would be seeking childcare help. Being an essential asset to this community, the positive impact Merriewood and its staff had on many families has spanned through generations. During this unfortunate time, we feel that Merriewood deserves our help more than ever. We know and would like to believe that we are not the only one who want Merriewood to be here for the future BV families.
We’d like to show our gratitude for Merriewood and their staff for what they’ve done and have been doing for the community by giving back so that they can continue operating and retaining all their staff.
Please help us help them!
You can donate anonymously, every dollar makes a difference.
Any donation would be sincerely appreciated and thank you for your generosity in advance!!!

Here is a message from the owners, Kevin and Mim:
Merriewood Children’s Center has been an integral part of the Burton Valley community for over 30 years. Providing safe, diverse, play based care for preschool and school aged children. Since the shut down in March, Merriewood has been open to support essential workers, and to give their children a safe space to interact and play with peers. As the school year approaches, Merriewood has adapted our program to support working parents, and help children with distance learning. To do this safely, Merriewood has had to greatly limit the number of children in our care, while at the same time retaining extra staff to accommodate small peer groups. We are humbled and honored to learn that the Travis Family has chosen to support us in this way. Your donations will help Merriewood continue to support the community through this abrupt change to all of our lives. Thank you for your support.
