Hi! This is Micah’s Aunt Anna here! Micah is currently in the PICU battling paralysis due to an extremely rare spinal cord tumor, as well as undergoing treatment for a rare genetic condition (KTS). Many of Micah’s Medical treatments are deemed “experimental” and are unfortunately not covered by insurance. Our family is so incredibly grateful for the donations made for Micah’s Medical care. I have had many people reach out asking if there was a place to donate, so I chose to make a Go Fund Me for Micah.
Chris and Chanae are two of the most humble, caring & God fearing parents I know. This page is not a cry for donations but a cry for prayer and healing! There is a comment section down below. I would love for it to be overflowing with prayers and support words for Micah’s incredibly strong parents during this time! That way when times are hard Chris and Chanae can come on here and lean on the words, prayers and encouragement sent by everyone.
Micah’s Medical Situation: (written by his Lolli)
After a really really hard week of physical decline, doctors have discovered that Micah has a tumor in his spinal cord. He is currently unable to move from the diaphragm down, so we are thankful that he is able to breathe on his own, but he has no leg, bowel or bladder function right now. They are unsure whether the tumor is cancerous or benign, but the doctor said that either way it is challenging. One big prayer would be that the tumor is just compressing the nerves and hasn’t already eaten away at them or severed them. If it has benign, he won’t have to do radiation or chemo which would be wonderful, but the doctor said an even bigger challenge is removing the tumor without paralyzing him permanently.
We know that we serve a big God and we are continuing to pray mighty things for our sweet boy. As you can imagine, Chris and Chanae are heartbroken as are we. I wish I could trade places with our precious boy. The neurosurgeon is meeting with the team tomorrow to determine if they think they are capable of dealing with it here. The neurosurgeon thinks he is and has done this before although he said this is unbelievably rare. Of course it is. They don’t know if this is the cancerous tumors that Klippel–Trénaunay syndrome can produce that just somehow showed up in his spine, or if it is something else entirely. Because the tumor is growing, he will more than likely have surgery on Wednesday or Thursday, but there is a lot to figure out before that. While we are surprised by this, we know that God isn’t, and as hard as it is to believe, we know that he loves Micah more than we ever could We covet your prayers for Micah, Chris and Chanae, Us and Chanae’s family, the surgical team that will be operating and wisdom for everybody involved in his care as tomorrow many many decisions will need to be made.
for praying for our precious boy.

”Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.“
