Support Michael and his mothers fight with cancer

Dear Friends, Family and Compassionate Souls,

My name is Michael, and I am reaching out to you today with a heavy heart, seeking your support, during a challenging time in my life.

Two years ago I moved from Utah to California to be with my mother, who was diagnosed with Lymphoma cancer, to support her through her more than 6 months of chemotherapy. With great strength and courage she battled, and won, and became cancer free.

However 8 months later, she was diagnosed with leukemia, and is currently fighting through another round of chemotherapy. I and my sister Karen, have done what we could to help support her through the long and hard weeks, and months she has had to endure in her fight.

3 weeks ago, after having to go to the hospital for pneumonia, I was told that they had found a large tumor in my upper right lung, which tested positive for Squamous cell carcinoma lung cancer, for which I will start my own chemotherapy treatments in the next two weeks.

As we face these hurdles together, we find ourselves confronted with another obstacle - our mode of transportation. My mother’s car, is old and we have been experiencing frequent mechanical issues. With each passing day, it becomes increasingly unreliable and unsafe.

It is for this reason that we humbly turn to you, our community, for help. We are seeking assistance in raising funds to acquire a reliable used car, that will ensure our ability to travel to our various medical appointments. By having dependable transportation, we can focus on our treatments and concentrate on regaining our health without the added stress and worry that we now have.
