Help Support Michael & Family

Hello Everyone!

My name is Amanda Bastos and I am the sister in law of Brittany Bastos. She has asked Jennifer Bucci and I to create a page to help support her family during this tough time. We are looking to raise money for Michael Cerza and his family. He is a beloved Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Friend.





Michael was known by all to be loud and obnoxious, yet funny and caring, and most definitely a stubborn individual, a fighter! He was such a fighter that he made sure to stay on this Earth long enough to see his last Granddaughter Layla be born. He was a very loving man and would give you the shirt off his back no questions asked. No matter how ill he felt he made sure that his family was well taken care of. He loved his girls more than words can describe. As we come to find out they were ALL his FAVORITE! Especially his loving wife Joanne. They have been married and the best of friends for the last 37 years and built a beautiful family together.


Remembering back to when the love of baseball was everything to Michael. As his sister Cathy recalls; It's the bottom of the ninth inning, Cerza is on the mound, bases are loaded, winning by 1 run, its 3-2 count, he throws his NASTY curve at 90 mph, batter swings and misses, Bloomfield Tech wins the State Championship!


It is never easy losing a loved one. We ask that we all come together as ONE and help support this family during this difficult time. If you cannot donate money, we ask you to please extend your hand and heart to this family as they will need all of the love and support they can get. Make them food, call them and ask them if they need anything. Tell them you love them and they are not alone.
