Donation protected

JUST $230 MORE!!!
We're almost there due to your collective generosity. Boy, would it be great to reach the goal of $4000- by the end of today! In a show of gratitude, I've dug a song out of the archives that will only be available to folks who donate to my campaign. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to my GoFund Me campaign. I’m doing this to help offset the expense of touring these days. It’s a brutal, braver, newer world out there on the road. My new album The Night’s Last Dance, which is my first all instrumental album, is being released by Memphis International Records on Friday, October 11, 2024. I’ll be hitting the road towards the end of October to support the release. I’ll be making stops mostly through Tennessee on this trip with a quick off-ramp in Cleveland on my way to Knoxville (WDVX 89.9fm – Blue Plate Special) and Maryville (podcast interview with music writer Lee Zimmerman) before heading to Nashville (Dee’s Country Cocktail Lounge, Betty’s, Someday Matinee radio via WFMU 91.1fm) and Memphis (Huey’s Midtown and photo shoot with Steve Roberts, Memphis’ music photographer). This GoFund Me campaign’s funds will go towards renting a vehicle, the gas and tolls, motels, and food expenses for the twelve days I’ll be on the road bringing my new music to the good people in radioland and clubland.

I’ve made my constant, life-long struggles open and honest. I will continue that here. Music is my balm and a true guiding force in my Recovery. It’s the thing that has helped make me who I am; for better or worse and sometimes at the same time. I am extremely proud and excited to unleash my new album on the world. Frankly, I think it’s the best work I have ever done. Much like being open and honest to the world about my alcohol disorder, and for those who didn’t know MS, this record is open and honest – and a lot of what’s in me. I didn’t plan The Night’s Last Dance. It fell out over a period of time. I would be horribly remiss if I didn’t say that this record is as much my friends as it is mine. Tim Carter, Dave Jacques, Kim Field, and John Josefsen all played, literally, a huge role in allowing me to realize the vision and sound of each song as they came to life. You can get a taste of the new record from the video of “The Night’s Last Dance,” which you can access through this link.

And, so in closing, I thank you in advance for whatever you might be able to contribute to my GoFund Me campaign to bring this new album, The Night’s Last Dance, to the music-loving people of Tennessee at the end of October.

"We could all use a little chill-out music these days. Michael Dinallo's new album arrives just in time for that. It's a mellow series of bluesy instrumentals from a guitar master who has played the highways and byways of the world with continued skill and a rock 'n' roll spirit. He has earned the tranquil balm of these songs, whether from the softly pacifying "Winter Twilight" to a more mildly pumped-up blues such as "Working with Robert (Memphis Blues No. 2)." Sweet music from a deft artist who has done it all."
-Steve Morse, a staff critic for 28 years at the Boston Globe who now teaches Rock History at Berklee College of Music

“I first met Mike in 1994 at a Huey’s bar in Midtown Memphis. Our label Icehouse Records was releasing a Radio Kings album titled It Ain’t Easy. I could tell from the start that Mike’s musical senses were in tune with mine. Through the years we’ve remained friends and have released a number of Mike’s projects on our label, Memphis International Records. He’s the first person I would call to play and/or produce any album. Blues, Country, Rock… …It doesn’t matter. He just has that feel for music.”
-Johnny Phillips, Memphis International Records
