Michael Haney’s road to recovery
Donation protected
Michael Haney was jogging on 12/11/2024, listening to an audiobook when he was viciously attacked by 4 dogs in Elkmont, Alabama. He loves jogging, and it’s nothing for him to jog 10+ miles in a day. He loves the outdoors, spending time with family and friends, and most of all, helping troubled teens. He’s volunteered much of his time with crisis and suicide centers, helping others in their time of need, and now it’s him in need.
He’s currently enrolled in a doctorate program for psychology at Regent University in Virginia Beach.
Michael is confident that he would not be here today if it wasn’t for the good Samaritans that stopped to get the dogs off of him. He’s had surgery to close wounds on the top part of his body (head, ears, face, arms, hands, etc.), and a second doctor tried to close wounds on his legs, but there’s no skin to sew. His right jaw is also broken from a dog biting and crushing it.
He’ll have surgery again on Friday, December 13th, 2024, to try to work on his open wounds. He will need skin grafts and, more than likely, many more surgeries.
Even if you’re not in a position to donate, we ask that you please pray for him.
He said “I don’t know why yet but God must want me here for a reason.”
All donations will go directly to Michael Haney.
Thank you so much.
