Support Michael Valentino's recovery journey

Hi All,

My name is Anya and I am here to raise some money to help to pay the out of pocket bills for my husband Michael Valentino.

On Thanksgiving of 2024 day we had to call 911 because my husband was breathing rapidly, had a fever 105°F and and was unconsious. He was in ICU for a week on full life support fighting a very serious life treateninng infection and doctors were saying he was not progressing to their expectation. He was diagnosed with sepsis, bacterial meningitis, mini strokes and facial palsy. Couple of days later he had his first progress and he was taken of the vent. He is now in the progressive care at Banner Medical center slowly recovering. His vision is blurry, his speech is very slurred and hard to understand, he is very weak and not able to get up yet. He just started eating pureed foods and was taken on the feeding tube finally.

Next step will be transferring him to an acute care rehab where he will be having daily sessions speech, phisycal and occupational therapies for a total of three hours a day. We don't know how long he will need to stay here.

While Mike in the hospital and rehab i am hoping we can prepare and raise some money before medical bills start to pile up.

In the meantime i am working full-time taking care of our 17-month old son as a single parent for now hoping Mike can fully recover and come back home. He is the best dad in entire universe participating in all activities together. He hasn't missed a single doctor appointment for our son and even my prenatal appointments and is an all hands dad in raising our son. We'll keep praying for Mike to come home soon and be back to participating in all family activities.
