Support Michaela Balasco's Heart Recovery Journey

Donation protected
If you know Michaela Balasco, then you already know that she is one of the kindest, most selfless people you could ever hope to know.

She and her late husband worked long, hard hours to run a small mom & pop local pizza shop and her husband did painting on the side as a means to support the family. They shared a passion, which involved them actively participating in charity fundraisers, such as local concerts in the park. If you called them with a need, they would bend over backgrounds to help you out.

In the years that I've been blessed to know Michaela and have her in my life, I have known her to be a woman of great strength and to have a willingness to sacrifice her own needs for the sake of others: this is simply who Michaela is!

A couple of years ago, Michaela unexpectedly lost her husband and she recently let their pizza shop go, so it's been an extra rough time as she's left to acclimate to this drastic change in the course of life. In the midst of searching for the answer to "what's next?" she was just hit with another emergency crisis...

On August 1, Michaela was feeling poorly and ended up going to the ER on August 2nd. It was there in the ER that she went into cardiac arrest (it is not lost on us that she was right where she needed to be when this happened though!). Her heart was successfully restarted and a temporary pacemaker was placed while they continue to assess the situation.

As of the last update, she has a full heart block that needs to be addressed and resolved once doctors get a better idea of what's going on. In the meantime, she is in critical, but stable condition.

I think Michaela is so used to being the one to help other people, it's unlikely she would reach out to ask for help. I know, however, that while she's going through this life-threatening health crisis right now, the bills will continue to pile up without mercy and resuming her search for a job will have to be placed on hold for some time. On that note, Michaela is always the one to give to others, but now that she is in the midst of a crisis, I need YOUR help in changing of the guards!

Donations of any amount, continued prayers, and sharing this fundraiser are much-needed and greatly appreciated!

Thank you, and I'll update as updates become available.
