Help Bring Michael Cunningham Home Safely
Hello, my name is Morgan Wilson and I truly appreciate you for taking the time to read my family’s story.
On March 28th, 2025, our brother Michael Cunningham went missing. We appreciate everyone who helped search for him during those difficult days.
On April 10th, 2025, we located Michael, and thankfully, he is alive. However, he is now being held in a prison in Juarez, Mexico—the 13th most dangerous city in the world. Michael, a disabled veteran, was wrongly accused of involvement in a domestic disagreement. Since March 28th, he has been in Juarez Prison, awaiting a court date to drop all charges, and without intervention, he could face 3 to 7 years in prison.
In his pursuit of love, Michael found himself living with a new girlfriend in Juarez without understanding the language. His situation is further complicated by his anxiety and depression related to multiple deployments and the absence of his prescribed medication and care. Every day in prison places him at additional risk, especially given that he is being targeted due to his U.S. citizenship and veteran status.
Michael—our Mikey—is scared, and we share his fear every single day. Time is of the essence, and every moment counts as we work to bring him home. Your donation, no matter how small, is a beacon of hope in these dark times.
We need your help to ensure Michael’s safety and secure his release. The funds raised will go directly toward:
• Attorney and legal fees
• Safety provisions inside the prison
• Communication costs, including translator fees
• Transportation expenses
• Any additional costs required to secure his release and well-being
Please consider donating to help us fight for Michael’s freedom and safety. Your support means the world to us, and together, we can help bring him home where he belongs.
Sincerely,
The Cunningham Family
