Support Michelle's Fight Against Cancer

Hello, my name is Catherine and we are the MacDonald/Sanicola family. For those who don't know, my mother, Michelle, was given the diagnosis of Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer in November of 2021. Michelle had been having severe abdominal pain which led her to the emergency room to discover the diagnosis and that it had spread to her liver. Due to the holiday season, it took weeks to go for a biopsy to determine the prognosis and treatment. She discovered that she has aggressive pancreatic cancer and needs to go to a special cancer center which is 2.5 hours from her home. She was blessed with a great oncologist and team at Moffitt in Tampa and will be commuting every week.

 

We are creating this GoFundMe to provide some financial relief due to medical bills not covered by insurance, co-pays, costly prescriptions and travel expenses.

 

My parents, Michelle and Fletcher, are recently retired. Fletcher returned back to work post-retirement to assist in general monthly costs pre-diagnosis. Michelle had just began back at work at the company she had been with for 15 years. The diagnosis changed everything and both are unable to return; Michelle, due to the treatment she will be receiving, and Fletcher, who will be a full-time caregiver.
