Support Michelle's Post-Surgery Recovery!

Hey all,

One of our beloved community members, Michelle Spikes, is scheduled for gender-affirming surgery soon and needs our support to cover expenses while she recovers. While the medical costs are largely covered, Michelle will be resting and unable to work for a few weeks, and could use support with supplies (food, bills, any care/medical items that are recommended by her provider, etc.) to facilitate her full healing.

In addition to being HIPS's Community Health Worker who serves the community she's from as part of the Outreach team, Michelle works at Safeway and does other catering jobs to support herself. She began as a HIPS client, volunteered for 2 years, and now we're immensely lucky to have her on staff. You may see her now on the Friday overnight van rocking her badass goth boots or doing HIV/HCV testing in the clinic.

Michelle's shown up for community in countless ways (in classic Pisces fashion) and deserves that support back from us now. (If you aren't able to donate, please share widely!)
