Support Mif's Eye Surgery and Recovery

This is Junior Mif, aka Mif, Miffins, un-Miffable. She has fought a good fight with chronic uveitis in her right eye since October 2022. This past Monday, on August 26th, she went blind in that eye. It is now very swollen, tearing, and painful. Our veterinarian has made the referral and recommendation that it is time to remove the eye and all of its discomforts with surgery at Mid Atlantic Equine Medical Center.

MAEMC would like her to stay overnight due to the long-term chronic nature of this issue and that she is 24 years old. The estimated cost is between $2500-3000 for the eye removal surgery and aftercare.

Mif has helped us immensely since 2015 in her matriarchal role of therapist and teacher at Spring Reins of Life and Spring Reins of Hope. We are forever indebted to her and have much respect.
