Support Mikayla's Battle Against Lyme Disease

Hi, I’m Mikayla. I’ve been battling Lyme disease and other coinfections for over nine years. Some of you may know me from my efforts to raise awareness about Lyme disease, or maybe you've donated in the past. Thank you for being here and for caring.

I'm currently enrolled in a new treatment program that offers a high success rate with no return of symptoms—even for chronic Lyme disease cases. This program is a lifeline, but it’s financially overwhelming. Each month, the treatment costs about two-thirds of my income. I’m struggling to keep up with basic expenses and cannot afford the medications, injections, and IVs essential for my recovery.

My Goal

I'm aiming to raise $50,000. This will cover the costs of treatment and bring me closer to healing. If I raise more than my target, every dollar beyond my needs will go to help others in our community who are also struggling with Lyme disease.

Why It Matters

If you know someone with Lyme disease, you know how hard this battle is. Most treatment options aren’t covered by insurance, which forces many people to suffer, or even give up hope, simply because they can’t afford to get better. I believe that recovery is possible and should be accessible to everyone.

Once I’m fully recovered, I plan to give back by starting a nonprofit to provide resources, education, and financial support for others facing Lyme disease. Together, we can change lives and bring hope to those who need it most.
