Support Mike DaSilva’s Fight Against Cancer
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Brandon Garcia, and I am creating this GoFundMe for my hero—my Uncle Mike DaSilva.
Mike was recently diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer, which has also spread to his liver. This devastating news has turned his world upside down, and as he begins the fight of his life, I want to do everything I can to support him and his family.
Mike has always been the heart of our family, the one we all turn to for support, guidance, and love. He is more than an uncle to me—he stepped in as a father figure when my own dad wasn’t around, shaping me into the person I am today. He has always put family first, never hesitating to be there for anyone in need. Now, as he faces stage 4 colon cancer, it’s our turn to be there for him.
Mike is a devoted husband to Stephanie and an incredible father to Nathan and Sydney. His love for his kids is endless—whether it’s cheering them on at their sports games, helping with school, or just spending time together, his priority has always been their happiness and success.
But Mike’s love doesn’t stop with his wife and kids. He has been the go to person for our entire family—his parents, siblings, nieces, nephews, and extended family all rely on his strength and kindness. He’s the first to show up when someone needs help, the one making sure every family gathering is filled with laughter, and the one you can always count on for advice and encouragement.
Beyond family, Mike has a passion for hockey and baseball. He spent countless hours at the rink—reffing games, supporting his son Nathan, or simply enjoying the sport he loves. Recently, he achieved a goal of joining the Caledon Fire Department, dedicating himself to serving and protecting others—just as he has always done for his family.
Mike has spent his whole life putting others before himself, and now, as he begins chemotherapy, he needs our help. This battle will be physically, emotionally, and financially challenging. Our goal is to ease the financial burden on Mike and his family, allowing them to focus on what matters most—his health and healing.
If you can donate, any amount is deeply appreciated. If you’re unable to contribute financially, please share this page to help spread the word. Every bit of love and support means the world to Mike, his family, and all of us who love him.
Thank you for standing with us in Mike’s fight. Let’s show him the same love and support he has given to so many.
