Support Mike Mooney's Fight Against Melanoma

When you think of "stand-up guy," "down to earth," "honest," "hardworking," "loyal," "shirt off your back kind of dude," well that is Mike Mooney.

This is a guy that prioritizes family and if he isn't coaching a baseball game or cheering on his daughter's soccer team, he is building a playhouse or a pirate ship so he can play with his kids.

It's very apparent that Mike loves his wife and kids and works hard for his family. He owns a small business so his wife can be home with their children and care for their home and even during this time of illness has been reluctant to slow down because he knows how much his family depends on him. Mike is also very proud and I guarantee he absolutely hates that there is a Go Fund Me in his name. But there is. And this is why...

A few months back, Mike's shoulder started bothering him and he figured it was dislocated or he pulled a muscle but ignored it because his job is physical and he couldn't take time off to deal with it because that would mean a loss of income for his family, so he put it off. He then started to have additional pain and at the urging of his wife Jesse, went to see a doctor. After many appointments and scans it was determined that there was a large tumor growing not only on his shoulder but in other areas of his body as well. Attacking his bones and vital organs, Mike has a very aggressive form of melanoma and his treatment is expected to last several months and take him from work and his kids.
