"Mike Wangen once again worked his singular magic, creating a low-slung undulating field of sunlight-into-moonlight-into-shadow complimented by saturated membranes of color that crawled ghostlike through the space, bruising all the surfaces they touched. Mike's lighting has always had a comprehensive presence that animates each imagined world with a forceful intelligence every bit the equal of the actors. He arranges light like Gil Evans or Quincy Jones might music, having carefully cataloged all of the play's bones, and having listened with incomparable patience, to the energetic longings connecting them. His light is the medium through which the soul of the play comes into view."
We are asking for money for end of life costs and to honor Mike's final wishes. There will be a memorial at Pillsbury House on February 10th during the evening. More details to follow.
