Support Mike's Battle against a Brain Tumor & Hydrocephalus

We are reaching out on behalf of our dear friend Mike, a 57-year-old father, friend, and member of our community who is bravely battling a brain tumor and hydrocephalus, a life-threatening condition with no cure at this time. If you know Mike, you know he’s one of the most generous, gregarious, and fun-loving people you’ll ever meet.

This curveball was a shock to all of us—how could someone so full of life and energy be facing something so daunting? But true to his nature, Mike is facing this battle with courage, determination, and, of course, his signature sense of humor.

Why We Need Your Help

Brain tumors and hydrocephalus are as complex as they are dangerous, and while Mike is receiving the best possible care at Massachusetts General Hospital, the medical bills are mounting. Despite insurance, the costs of surgeries, hospital stays, medications, and ongoing care are overwhelming.

Mike has always been the guy who steps up when others need help. Now, it’s our turn to step up for him. We're asking for your support to help cover medical bills, travel expenses to specialists, and day-to-day costs so that Mike can focus on what truly matters—his health and recovery.

Travel Costs: Mike needs to travel to specialists for advanced care, and transportation and lodging costs are adding up.

Emotional Support Dog: When Mike fell, which led to his diagnosis, it was his beloved Golden Retriever, Bella, who stood by his side in the freezing cold, barking out for help. She has since passed, but another companion like her would do wonders during this difficult time.

Everyday Living Expenses: With Mike unable to work, your support will help keep things stable.

Anyone who’s had the privilege of knowing Mike knows that he has a way of making everyone feel like a friend. He’s always the first to crack a joke, offer a shoulder to lean on, or cook an amazing meal.
