I’ll be using this funds to pay for my mom’s procedure, it’s critical since we only have 6-months period to collect the money.

I’m fundraising for my mother who is still living in Venezuela, she was recently diagnosed with Dilated cardiomyopathy. According to her cardiologist, she was born with Ellis-van Creveld (EvC) syndrome is a rare autosomal recessive malformation disorder. She has a Congenital cardiovascular malformation.

My mom started with the severe symptoms around a year ago, she has been on doctors appointments since then. Her cardiologist is very concerned about her condition and after multiple exams, visits, and medical board decisions by Ascardio (cardiology institute in Venezuela), they informed her that she must be intervened as soon as possible due to the urgent of her condition.

The board of cardiologist recommended her a Cardiac Catheterization, in which the surgeon uses the catheter to put in a new heart valve. The procedure will cost around $28,500 US dollars, according to the quote she received. The quote does not include transportation, stay, and other cost related to travel to the city where she will have the procedure.

Me and my family are doing the best to collect the money within the frame time she was given no later than 6 months to schedule the procedure. Estoy recaudando fondos para mi madre, que todavía vive en Venezuela. Recientemente le diagnosticaron miocardiopatía dilatada. Según su cardiólogo, nació con el síndrome de Ellis-van Creveld (EvC), un trastorno de malformación autosómica recesiva poco común. Tiene una malformación cardiovascular congénita.

Mi madre comenzó con síntomas severos hace aproximadamente un año y ha estado en citas médicas desde entonces. Su cardiólogo está muy preocupado por su condición y después de múltiples exámenes, visitas y decisiones de la junta médica de Ascardio (instituto de cardiología en Venezuela), le informaron que debe ser intervenida lo antes posible debido a la urgencia de su condición.

La junta de cardiólogos le recomendó un cateterismo cardíaco, en el que el cirujano usa el catéter para colocar una nueva válvula cardíaca. El procedimiento costará alrededor de $ 28,500 dólares estadounidenses, según la cotización que recibió. El presupuesto no incluye transporte, estadía ni otros costos relacionados con el viaje a la ciudad donde se realizará el procedimiento.

Mi familia y yo estamos haciendo todo lo posible para reunir el dinero dentro del plazo que nos dieron, no más de 6 meses para programar el procedimiento.
