Support Mille's Dream to Stay in the USA

My name is Mrs. Briggs, and I am a high school teacher at WJHS! I am creating this Go Fund Me on behalf of my student Mille Moeller, who is a foreign exchange student who has attended our school for the last school year.

Mille wants nothing more than to stay in the USA and attend West Jordan High for her Senior Year, but she recently found out about some unexpected costs that she will need to raise in order stay here. She had her plan all lined up and all the fees paid, but then within the last week, she received hard news that the price of staying was not her expected $150, and in fact it would cost $9,553 in order for her to stay here at WJHS.

Her and her family cannot currently afford to pay these costs, and she is at risk of having to return to her home country of Denmark. Although Mille misses her mom, she truly feels that staying in the United States is the best for her mental health, physical well-being, and happiness. Mille is humble, and not quick to ask for help, but as her teacher, I feel inclined to advocate for her and fight for her to stay.

Mille already has a host home all lined up, a family who really wants her to stay with them this upcoming year. She has friends who want to see her at school next year. She has teachers, like me, who know she is a joy to have in the classroom! Mille plans on being an active part of our school next year, planning on serving in Sources of Strength, our school's suicide prevention program. She has her whole schedule planned for next year & the idea of leaving this behind is devastating.
